Obituary

Charles Allen Henderson

November 14, 1964 – August 14, 2026

Charles Allen “Charlie” Henderson passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 61, just 19 days after the passing of his wife of 21 years, Darla Jean Henderson.

Darla was his soul.

For 21 years, Charlie and Darla shared a life that was truly their own. They were husband and wife, partners, best friends, and companions through all that life brought their way. Together they built businesses, made a home, traveled, took road trips, spent time at the beach, shared countless meals, loved their animals, and created a lifetime of memories.

Charlie was an entrepreneur and businessman who spent many years in the aviation industry. Through Henderson Jet Services, aviation became an important part of both his professional life and the life he and Darla built together. Charlie was never afraid of a new idea or a new venture. He understood the risks, challenges, hard work, and determination that came with building something of his own.

Away from work, Charlie loved the mountains and motocross. He appreciated adventure, the open road, and the freedom of getting away. Whether it was the mountains, a road trip, time at the beach with Darla, or simply being surrounded by the people he loved, Charlie valued the experiences and memories that made life his own.

Above all, Charlie loved his family.

He was a devoted father to his sons, Charlie Henderson Jr. and his wife, Michelle Henderson; and Andy Henderson and his wife, Kenzie Henderson. He was a loving grandfather to Brooklynn Henderson, Aurora Lucy, Athena Lucy, and Evangelo Henderson.

Charlie is survived by his mother, Glenda Dove; his sister, Pam Henderson, and her wife, Leslie Henderson; his sons and their families; his grandchildren; and the many family members and friends whose lives became part of his own.

He is also survived by Anna and Grant Cornett, who were not family by blood, but family by love and by choice. They held a special place in Charlie and Darla’s lives and were always considered part of their family. \

Charlie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Darla Jean Henderson, who passed away on July 26, 2026.

It is difficult to tell Charlie’s story without Darla because their lives were so deeply intertwined. They experienced the ordinary days and the extraordinary ones together—the adventures, businesses, challenges, celebrations, road trips, laughter, and quiet moments that made up more than two decades of marriage.

Darla was more than Charlie’s wife. She was his person, his home, and his soul.

Those fortunate enough to know Charlie will remember his adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit, his love of the mountains and motocross, his years in aviation, his devotion to his family, and the life he built alongside Darla.

Losing Charlie only 19 days after Darla leaves an immeasurable absence for the family and friends who loved them both. Yet there is comfort in knowing that a love that defined so much of their lives is no longer separated.

Charlie’s memory will live on through his sons, grandchildren, mother, sister, family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have become part of his and Darla’s story.

Together in life for 21 years, Charlie and Darla are together once again.
