Bryn Lea Jones — A Life of Faith, Love, and Grace

Bryn Lea Jones, 65, entered the eternal embrace of her Heavenly Father and Savior on September 25, 2025. She was born on September 7, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas, and was lovingly adopted by her devoted parents, Clifford White Hayes and Dana Gibson Hayes.

In 1976, Bryn met the love of her life and soulmate, Tam Jones. They were married on December 19, 1978, and shared 47 cherished years of marriage. Together they built a home rooted in faith, joy, and love, raising three beloved daughters.
A 1978 graduate of Calallen High School, Bryn went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. A gifted and compassionate educator, she devoted her career to teaching and serving as a school librarian, impacting countless lives in Calallen, Agua Dulce, Eanes, and Austin ISD. Never one to stop learning, Bryn earned her esthetician certificate and license from McLennan Community College in June 2020, later serving as a member of the Cosmetology Advisory Board.

Above all, Bryn was a woman of steadfast faith. For more than 30 years, she was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Round Rock, Texas. She found her greatest joy in studying God's Word, traveling with her family, and creating lasting memories with those she loved most.

Bryn was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Dana Hayes, and her brother, Bryan Clifford Hayes. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tam; her daughters Alyssa Jones Wennerlind (Matthew), Corinne Jones Yelle (Anthony), and Brooke Jones; her siblings Jeffrey Hayes (Teri), Scott Hayes (Sherri), Kyna Batterson (Danny), and Clayton Hayes (Johnna); and her beloved aunt, Sandra Wynn (Gerald).

A Service of Celebration for Bryn's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, 1004 N. Mays St., Round Rock, TX 78664. A dedication and reception will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church Women's Group to further their ministry in Round Rock.

"Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate." — Proverbs 31:3
