Obituary

Brooklynn ReeAnn Miller was born March 02, 2011, in Georgetown, TX to Erika Maxey (Miller) Spies and Daniel Miller.  She left this life on Friday, October 27, 2023, surrounded by family and friends after a short, but intense battle with osteosarcoma.

Brooklynn usually had a cute giggle and a mischievous sparkle in her beautiful blue eyes.  She loved to tell jokes and pull pranks on people.  She attended school in Jarrell, TX from the time she started kindergarten and had many friends who started right along with her, and others who joined along the way.  She was a Junior Bible Quizzer and received several trophies for being on the all-tournament team. Her team made it to the North American Junior Bible Quiz Tournament this past July, and in previous years.

Brooklynn loved Stitch and gifts. In her final months, she was blessed with many Stitch items and other gifts.  She not only loved to receive gifts, but she also took great pleasure in giving them.   She loved arts and crafts, and many people were blessed with the items that she created.    When she went to the hospital, she always made or took items to pass out to those who took care of her and to other patients as well.   One of her final requests was that her mother keep giving gifts to other children who have cancer.  To fulfill that request, we are requesting donations in lieu of flowers. A foundation will be set up so that it will be a lasting legacy to Brooklynn.  Until that time, donations can be given to the Brooklynn Foundation through Apostolic Lighthouse Church at the following link:

Brooklynn is survived by her parents, Christian and Erika Spies and Daniel Miller; brothers, Derik and Damin Miller; sisters, Christa and Abigail Spies; grandparents, Erik and Sherri Maxey, and Julie Trubach; great-grandparents, Richard and Carolyn Brinegar, Kenneth Dixon and Ruth Ann Sudduth; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will all miss her greatly.
