Bronson Howard, 71, of Jarrell, Texas, passed away on July 23, 2026. Bronson was born on January 21, 1955, in Gary, Indiana, to Ernestine Taylor and Jesse Howard.

Bronson grew up in Gary, Indiana, and served in the United States Army from 1981 to 1989. There, he completed Automotive Mechanics Training, Primary Leadership Development, and Utilities Equipment Repairer courses, training that would shape much of his professional life. He later earned an associate’s degree from Southwest School of Electronics.

Bronson was a skilled technician throughout his life, both in the military and beyond. Once something caught his interest, he pursued it fully, gaining deep knowledge of car maintenance and repair, and of firearms, often bringing family members along to the range to share the hobby with him. He was also an avid lover of movies and video games, and his family knew him for his wicked sense of humor.

Bronson’s legacy lives on through his beloved family. He is survived by his wife, Natalie Holmes of Jarrell; his devoted children, Yolanda Howard of Austin, Texas, Branson Howard of Arlington, Texas, Kris Howard of Phoenix, Arizona, and Marcia Howard of Brooklyn, New York; and his sister, Belva Lewis. His grandchildren, Desirae Howard, Demetrius Rock, DeJhana Rock, Jerica Mayberry, Lawrence Howard, Anne Howard, Kai Redd, Karrington Howard, Asahn Howard, and Julien King, will forever cherish his memory and the wisdom he imparted.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernestine Taylor and Jesse Howard, and his siblings, Gene and Myra.

Friends and family will gather to honor and celebrate Bronson’s life at a Celebration of Life ceremony on August 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home & Crematorium, 5600 Williams Dr, Georgetown, TX 78633.
