Brian
Johnson
Jun 18, 1967 — Apr 22, 2023
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the unexpected passing of Brian Johnson. At 55 years old, he left this world on April 22, 2023, and was welcomed home by Jesus. His loss was completely unexpected but in his final moments, he heard the comforting words, "You did well," whispered to him by his wife, Kadra. Brian's family is deeply mourning his loss, but they are also grateful for the precious time they had with him on earth.
Brian was born on June 18, 1967, to Allan Johnson and Ollie Jeanie Caldwell. Though Brian was born in San Pedro, CA, which was the antithesis of this very Texas-loving man, he quickly found his way to Saginaw, TX, where he spent most of his childhood and attended Boswell High School. It was during high school that he met his soon-to-be-wife, Kadra Deike Johnson, and made the wise decision to attend McMurry University along with her. It is there that he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. In 1996, Brian moved to Georgetown, TX, and started working as a Proposal Manager with Dell. He remained a dedicated and hardworking employee for 26 years. Brian was a loyal and devoted man, and his loss is deeply felt by all who knew him.
Yet, in all his accomplishments, the two things Brian took the most joy in were his family and his faith; on these two things, he built his life. Brian married Kadra on September 16, 1989. Together, they had 4 children: Caleb, Seth, Kanah, and Ethan. He loved his wife, and he made his family his priority, going as far as to coach his sons' football team from 2010-2020. He showed his love by supporting his children in all their endeavors. He also had an immense passion for sports, smoking brisket, hunting, and finding different means of pestering and pranking his friends and family. He was meticulous and excellent in all that he did, making things better than they were previously. Anyone who knew Brian knew that he was faithful, charming, gentle, comical, and faithful. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say. Yet, they are comforted by the fact that he is with Jesus and is no longer in pain. He is survived by his wife, Kadra, their son Caleb and daughter-in-law, Katie, grandsons Wyatt, and Rhett; son, Seth, and daughter-in-law, Mercy, grandsons Emmett, Quinn, and Micah; daughter, Kanah and son-in-law, Tim; son, Ethan; Mother, Jeanie; his brother, Shawn and sister-in-law, Misty, niece and nephew, Megan and Landon; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, James, and Sandy Deike, brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Shane and Linda Deike and nieces and nephews, Cameron, wife Elya, and children; Taylor, Addie, Jaiden, Zech; and many, many dear friends. In leu of flowers, Contributions in memory of Brian can be made to onechapel.com/liberty-hill . There will be a Celebration of Life service held on Monday, May 1, at One Chapel in Liberty Hill, Texas at 6:30 pm. If you cannot attend the service, please consider posting a favorite memory of him on social media.
