Brent "Bopo" Blaylock passed away at the age of 89 at his home in Rockport, Texas on March 31, 2026. He was born in Houston, Texas on August 31, 1936 to William "Bill" Schuler Blaylock and Lula Belle Sandel Blaylock. Brent married Martha Jo Henry on July 20, 1963, and they were married 61 years.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Blaylock; sister in-law, Beverly and his loving wife, Jo.

Brent is survived by his four children: Connie Higdon and her husband Mike, Kendra Winans and her husband John, Dee Dee Jones and her husband Toby, Brent Barton Blaylock and his wife Jamie; his grandchildren: Dustin Higdon and wife Micasia, Jason Higdon, Justin Logan Shaffer and his wife Brittany, Reagan Shaffer, Montana Blaylock, Arianna Blaylock, Austin Blaylock, Mckynna Blaylock; and his great grandchildren: Ezriah Higdon and William Shaffer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be graveside at the Salado Cemetery off Royal Street and Baines Street, Salado, Texas 76571 on Tuesday April 7, 2026, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers you can donate to the Salado Cemetery, P.O. Box 21, Salado Texas 76571.
