Obituary

A life measured in years is impressive. A life measured in love is extraordinary—and Bobby Glenn Land modeled both. He spent 95 years on this earth, 73 of them by the side of his loving wife, Doris Faye "Dolly" Anderson Land.

Born January 4, 1931, in Edmond, Oklahoma, to pioneer church planters and evangelists, JJ and Effie Land, Bobby's smile, humor, and grace encouraged everyone he encountered.

He was the 8th of 10 children, a 1950 graduate of Fox Tech High School, and a standout baseball and track athlete at San Antonio College before answering the call to serve his country, joining the United States Army in1952.

Ever known for his faithfulness, Bobby retired after 36 years with the City Public Service Board of San Antonio, Texas, all the while loving and caring for his family—especially his daughters, Deborah Faye (and her late husband, Mike) Fullerton and Beverly Jane (and her husband, Michael) Felan.

His greatest gift was his presence. Throughout his life, he showed that love is found in shared time, gentle laughter, and great conversation—often while enjoying homemade ice cream. The biggest fan of his grandsons and, later, their wives, Jason Fullerton (Robyn) and Landon Fullerton (Adriana), he rarely missed a significant moment in their lives. Always cheering, encouraging, and supporting, he found great joy in helping the boys pursue their dreams.

Bobby's generous and gracious heart expanded even more when his great-grandchildren—Ryan, Kate, Adelyn, and Levi Fullerton—were born. He loved hearing them sing, watching them run, and delighting in their youthful exuberance.

His commitment to the Lord, instilled by his parents, was unwavering, and he rejoiced in seeing his family follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Sundays were spent getting his "soul fed" at church, hoping the service would end early enough to catch the start of the Cowboys game.

Bobby passed peacefully on February 8, 2026. He was easy to love and even easier to admire. He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant son, Darrell Glenn, and nine of his siblings. He is survived by his wife, his family, his sister Jo Ferguson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Anyone who spent time with him felt richer for it—because you didn't just know him, you knew you were loved by him.

A celebration of Bobby's life will be held on Friday, February 13th, 2026, at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. The Land family invites you to join them for a viewing beginning at noon, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm, and a reception from 2:00 - 3:00 pm.
