Bobby Glen
Goodwin
July 2, 1959 – May 18, 2024
Bobby Glen Goodwin, 64 years of age, passed suddenly on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Temple Scott & White Hospital.
Bobby was born July 2nd, 1959 in Gatesville, Texas to the late Cody Goodwin & Eldean Forbes Emmons. He was the youngest of 3 children and he was educated in the Moody School system in Moody, Texas.
Bobby is survived by his brother Billy Jack Goodwin and wife Brenda Goodwin and his sister Marilyn Kay Vincent and husband Joe Vincent Jr. He is also survived by Robin Colbert, the mother of his children, Brandon Scott Goodwin and Andrew James Goodwin and survived by Tanya Goodwin, also the mother of his daughter Sunshine Amanda Hotz and stepchildren, Chantay Nicole Purcell and Ronald Charles Sickler along with his beautiful grandchildren Chance Alexander Dowling, Heather Ann Goodwin, Aiden Xavier Goodwin, Ethan Chance Goodwin and Easton James Sickler along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He worked in the construction industry most of his life and enjoyed it. Bobby could do anything! He could fix anything! Bobby was a very caring soul. He would do anything for anybody, no matter what it was. He was a great person to have on your side because you always knew you could count on him. He also loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish. Although in his later years he preferred to feed the deer instead of shooting them. Music was his real passion. He was an amazing drummer. Even when he was driving, he was drumming on something, always.
He will be greatly missed but he is no longer suffering.
I have a few things I would like to say about my Uncle Bobby. He was more than an uncle he was my brother, my counselor and my rescuer. All I had to do was call and say Bobby I need your help and he would be there and was there. He has always taken care of me and not to mention in the last few years, my parents. I could never thank him enough for everything he has done for me and my family. I think about him everyday and catch myself trying to text him. One thing that does give me comfort is that he is with Granny, Memal, Grandaddy and my sisters. Thank you
