Obituary

Beverly (Bev) Jean Crabtree, 82, of Georgetown, passed away on April 24, 2026 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She transitioned to her heavenly home while surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Bev was born August 14, 1943, to Geraldine Schlais (Lee) and Luis Lee in Upland California. She graduated from Hueneme High in 1961 where she played & taught accordion and sang in the school choir. On July 3, 1970, she married the love of her life, Edgar (Ed) Crabtree in Oxnard, California. They spent 55 years happily married with many adventures, good times, and a few trials along the way, which they used to teach their children how to navigate relationships and trials. They were role models to many on how to love each other and live a life of love, family, and hard work. She served in the church nursery, taught Sunday School, helped in her kid’s classrooms, sang in the church choir, and was Mom Extraordinaire when it came to bringing treats for school events, volunteering at school, and including friends in family gatherings.

Bev loved people and lived a life that exemplified God’s love for others, especially her family and those in need. She welcomed anyone for a meal and holiday celebration, welcoming them into her home as if they were family. She was a second mom to many, especially when her children were in school. She always had a smile and a hug to encourage others. She was happiest while in church, listening to music, singing, knitting, playing with babies, playing games, and being involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives in any way she could. Family was everything to her and not a moment went by that she was not willing to serve and help them.

Bev left behind her adoring husband, Ed; Children, Jason (Lorie), Tanya (Jason), and Tobi; Grandchildren, Grant, Brian, DaLynne, Seth, Liz, and Meikayla; Great-Grandchildren, Logan, Clinton, La’Koda, Sandy, Oliver, and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-daughter, Sandy, and her best friend and sister, Dorothy Olmsted, who went home to Jesus just last year.

Bev will be remembered for her smile that could light up a room, her warm hugs, her love for Jesus, and her beautiful laugh.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday (May 2nd) at 2:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. There will be an additional service in Oregon with date and time TBD.
