Beverley Kay Bergstrom Steward
December 20, 1946 - June 26, 2026
Beverley Kay Bergstrom Steward, affectionately known as "BB" to her grandchildren, passed away June 26, 2026. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be forever remembered for her creative spirit, infectious smile, joyful laughter, and welcoming heart.
Born December 20, 1946, in Austin, Texas, she was the daughter of Brent Edward Bergstrom and Mary Frances Ischy Bergstrom. The family relocated to Fairfield, Texas where her father was a game warden. Beverley cheered for the Eagles and was crowned Miss Freestone County Queen in 1963. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1965.
Beverley welcomed son Brian Worth Steward with her husband and later moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where Stacy Elizabeth Steward joined the family.
As a dedicated self-proclaimed "domestic goddess," Beverley centered her world around her children, building a deep, lifelong bond of love with them. Her warmth extended far into the community, where she touched many lives as a substitute teacher for the Calallen Independent School District.
Later in life, a new chapter began when she moved to Georgetown, Texas, returning to a community with deep family roots. She brought her signature kindness and work ethic to the Georgetown Medical Clinic, dedicating 25 years to the practice. Known for her joyful laughter, she truly never met a stranger.
Beverley was artistic and expressed her creativity through painting, jewelry, crafting, and crocheting-lovingly gifting handmade baby hats to countless newborns over the years. A true "junk gypsy" at heart, she loved hunting for garage sale and antique treasures, listening to music (especially ELVIS), gardening, and enjoying quiet moments on her patio.
She is survived by her son, Brian Worth Steward, and his wife, Marcy; her daughter, Stacy Elizabeth Steward; and her six cherished grandchildren, Matthew Alexander Chrisley, Andrew James Chrisley, Riley Madison Steward, William Worth Chrisley, Weston Worth Steward, and Lauren Elizabeth Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Brent Edward Bergstrom and Mary Frances Ischy Bergstrom and her brother, David Earl Bergstrom.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. A memorial service will follow on Saturday, July 11th, at 10:30 am at Steward's Mill Church in Steward's Mill, Texas with a reception to follow.
