Betty Knodel, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2025, in Georgetown, Texas. She was born in 1936, in Tennessee and moved to Port Lavaca, Texas, as a child. Growing up, Betty enjoyed playing basketball.

After attending Victoria College, she graduated from Southwest Texas State with a business degree, where she met the love of her life, Herman Knodel. They married in September 1959 and shared more than 66 wonderful years together. Betty worked in accounting for various state agencies while raising their children, Jeff and Janis.

Faith and family were at the center of Betty's life. She was active in her church, loved caring for children, and enjoyed countless family gatherings, vacations, and their children's sporting events. After Herman's retirement, they moved to Sun City, Georgetown, where they traveled widely, danced often, and cherished time with their grandchildren.

Betty will be remembered for her devotion, kindness, and joy in life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Myrl Keeble, and her brother, Harold Keeble.

She is survived by her loving husband, Herman; daughter, Janis Sayers; son, Jeff and daughter-in-law Stacy; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Isabel's Place and Concho Hearts Hospice for their kind and supportive care.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to The Caring Place in Georgetown, Texas.

A memorial service to celebrate Betty's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20th, 2025 in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home.
