Walter Hayne, age 93, of Georgetown, TX, passed away on June 25, 2024 in Georgetown.

Betty Hayne, age 93, of Georgetown, TX, passed away on May 26, 2025  in Georgetown.

Celebration of Life services will be held at First Baptist Georgetown, 1333 University Dr., Georgetown on June 29, 2025 at 2:00PM. Pastor Bryan Waggoner will be officiating.

Walter was born in Quincy, IL, his parents were Englebert Henry Hayne and Alma Sophia Goetsch. He went to school in Spokane, WA. He was a veteran of the Army. Walter graduated from the University of Florida in 1962 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Raytheon Corp in Florida, then MITRE Corp in Mass, then ATT in North Carolina and Georgia.

Betty was born in Texas City, TX, her parents were John Albert Tauzy and Antoinette Velia Romair. She went to school in New Orleans, LA. Betty received a degree as a CPA and worked in North Carolina and Georgia. Betty worked for Del Webb Community Association in Sun City as an accountant.

Walt and Betty were involved in dance clubs in Sun City, Walt loved to play pool at the pool hall. They both went to the work out center on Texas Dr. a couple times every week. They were in the Sun Rays Magazine as Athletes of the Month in April 2022.

Walt is survived by his daughter, Katherine. His son, Robert Hayne passed away in 2013.

Betty is survived by her son, Ken Thompson.
