Barbara Ria Roos, known lovingly as Babsi, was born on February 28, 1972, in Kehl, Germany, and grew up primarily in the Darmstadt area. It was there that she met her future husband, Jason Eric Roos, a U.S. soldier stationed in Darmstadt. Their courtship began in Germany, and they were married on August 17, 1993, in Conroe, Texas.

Barbara earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Master of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University. She had a passion for real estate and home improvement, with a true gift for home decorating.

An avid reader, she loved nothing more than visiting bookstores to stock up on novels. Her compassion extended to all living things — she had a special tenderness for homeless cats — and her love of God was reflected in the care she showed to anyone in need.

Barbara is survived by her husband of more than 32 years, Jason; her son, Aaron Alexander Roos, and his wife, Jade, of Pace, Florida; and her daughter, Ana Regina Victoria, and her husband, Jose Acosta Serna, of Jarrell, Texas.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

The memorial service to celebrate the life of Barbara Ria Roos — affectionately known as "Babsi" to her friends and loved ones — will take place on Friday, July 10th, at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 6001FM 1105, Georgetown, TX 78626.
