Barbara Ann McKnight (Knight) Draper passed away, at home, in Georgetown, TX on May 7, 2026. Barbara was born in Frederick, MD on October 11, 1944 to Howard Warren and Virginia Catherine (Moessinger) McKnight. She was the wife of Vaughn Draper for nearly 56 years and moved around wherever his jobs took him.

She spent her early years in Boonsboro before the McKnights relocated to Yellow Springs. She was a 1962 Graduate of Frederick High School and upon graduation worked at the Ox Fiber Brush Company. In the 1980s she found her calling in direct mail advertising sales. But, for the most part, she was a Mom, Grandmother, and now Great Grandmother, home decorator, and a devout Astros fan.

Barbara was predeceased by husband and Rhonda’s and Traci’s Dad Samuel Gilbert Knight, as well as her parents and grandparents. She is survived by Vaughn; daughters Rhonda Lynne Crum (Glenn) of Wake Forest, NC; Traci Leigh Glicer (Mark) of Frisco, TX; Jennifer Anne Wheeler (Jeff) of League City, TX; and son Timothy Vaughn Draper (Amber) of Naples, FL.

She is also survived by Grandchildren; Samantha Crum, Rachel Crum, Kelcey Crum, Alex Glicer (Nallely), Conner Glicer, Matthew Glicer, Jacob Wheeler (Natalie), Marissa Wheeler, Miranda Wheeler, and Devin Steiner. Then there are her young great grandsons Seth William Glicer and Lincoln Michael Wheeler. She is also survived by sisters Nancy Cornell and Linda Stough (Ed).

In keeping with Barbara’s wishes there will be no viewing or immediate services. The family plans to have a memorial service (likely virtually) in the future. Donations in Barbara’s name may be made to Autism Speaks (in recognition of Matthew Glicer) or any Autism supportive organization; or to the Healthwell Foundation at 20440 Century Boulevard, Germantown, MD 20874.
