Andrew Ray
Perez
October 12, 1966 – February 28, 2026
Andrew Ray Perez, age 59, entered into his Father's eternal kingdom on Saturday, February 28, 2026. He was born on October 12, 1966 in Beeville, Tx. He spent most of his young adult life in Corpus Christi, Tx and in 1997, met the love of his life, Melissa. They married in 2001, eventually settling in Round Rock, Tx where he managed his own landscaping company, "Andy Ray's Lawn Care & Maintenance" for 15 years. He was grateful for and loved serving his customers whom he most often referred to simply as "friends".
He enjoyed all of life's great adventures, including traveling with his wife, golfing, fishing, and spoiling his three cats, Mia, Sophie & Sunshine. Andy loved the outdoors and was known to feed every feral animal who wandered into his yard. Although he and his wife had no biological children, one of his greatest joys in life was being the most amazing and supportive uncle to ALL his nieces and nephews. After the loss of their beloved father, much of his focus shifted to pouring out all the love he had to his nephews Jonothan, James and his sweet princess, Abby in any way he could. Eventually a new little love entered his life, his niece Vida, and he resided comfortably around her little finger up to the last second of his life. Andy was an overcomer and of all the things he accomplished, his self-proclaimed greatest accomplishment was learning to walk with Jesus. Andy embraced his faith and loved the Lord. He used his God-given talents to make the world more beautiful in every way, whether he was shaping the green of a golf course, or lighting up a room with his infectious smile and laughter. His lasting legacy will be how his presence felt like home, his embrace felt like security, and how he left this world a better place than he found it. It is in this spirit we say to this loving husband, son, brother, friend and epic uncle..."Well done, my good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:21
Andrew is preceded in death by his parents; Rafael and Juanita "Janie" Perez, father-in-law and best friend, Edward F. Montez; brother-in-law, David R. Garcia.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Melissa A. (Montez) Perez; six siblings, Ralph (Dawn) Perez of Bangs, Tx; Diane (Primitivo) Casanova and Benjamin Perez of Corpus Christi; Mary Jane (Bob) Perez of Katy, Tx; Gloria (Ram) Perez of Aransas Pass, Tx and Rachel (Luis) Espinoza of Beeville, Tx as well as his bonus family; mother (in-law), Hilaria "Alice" Montez; sisters (in-law), R.
