Alva Sears
Moran
January 11, 1949 – January 28, 2025
Alva Sears Moran, 76, of Sun City in Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025.
Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Alva lived a life full of love, devotion, and kindness. She was married to her beloved husband, Tim Moran, for 52 wonderful years. Together, they started a beautiful life in Oklahoma where she had a successful career in the banking industry. There they welcomed their two sons, Chris and Brian. Alva dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mom, pouring her heart into her family. They eventually settled in Katy, Texas to follow Tim's career.
In 2016 after Tim's retirement, they moved to Sun City in Georgetown, where she made incredible friends and became a cherished neighbor. Alva found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren—Ryan, Kyle, Maddox, and Jackson—never missing an opportunity to cheer them on at their activities. She was an avid sports fan, always rooting for the Houston Astros and Texans.
She is survived by her husband, Tim; her sons, Chris and wife Dori; Brian and wife Jennifer; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Maddox, and Jackson Moran; and her brother Jack Sears.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Lloyd Sears, and her older brother, Bill Sears.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. She will be buried in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Alva's warmth, laughter, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
