Alton Dale Ellzey, known affectionately by the community as Tooter, passed away unexpectedly on June 8th, 2024 while at home. He was 69 years old.

He worked for his brother's company while raising a family with his wife, Karin. He loved to bring about smiles from his daughters Kira, Soj, and Yari through a firework-filled Fourth of July, cleverly hidden easter eggs, a loogie and a joke, or a hug and a listening ear. To his closest friends, he would teach anything he knew and ease the silence with his limitless jokes. Throughout his life, his curiosity about how things work led him to tinker, whittle, and find joy in fishing, hunting, marksmanship, and survival skills. He was playfully young at heart through to his last moments, sharing riddles, telling stories, fiddling with puzzles, teaching strategy games with cards and chess, playing tag and hide-and-seek, and tickling his loved ones.

Alton Dale Ellzey will be survived by his wife, Karin Sandel Ellzey. He will be remembered by his older brother and his wife, Johnny and Terry Ellzey; and his little sister, Joyce Ellzey Wuistinger. He will be greatly honored by his daughters, Yari Sandel, Soj Sandel, and Kira Vandervort. Furthermore, he will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Mia, Liam, Iliana, Kysen, and Isabelle.
