Alsey "Al"
Haley Allen
September 20, 1937 – February 11, 2021
Alsey (Al) Haley Allen, age 83, of Leander, Texas passed away February 11, 2021. Al was born on September 20, 1937 to Roy Herbert Allen and Alma Jewel "Ramsey" Allen in Yoakum County, Texas. The family moved to California when Al was young where Al lived and worked until returning to his beloved Texas in 2006 after retiring from Texaco. Growing up on a ranch Al had a lifetime fascination with all things cowboy and was a big country music fan. His keen enthusiasm for Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and the volume knob ultimately proved too much and undoubtedly contributed to a hearing problem in his later years. Al was also an avid hunter and fisherman. We will all miss him very much.
Al met the love of his life Peggy in Bakersfield, California and the two were married on November 14, 1967.
He is preceded in death by his son Ricky Plymale, brother Jack Allen and his sister Patti Panici.
Al is survived by his wife Peggy, Daughters: Trisha "Jed" Brickner, Vikki "Duncan" Lancaster and Leetta "Rodney" Lemons. Grandsons: Jason Brickner, Eric Lancaster, Jon Hulsey, Brian Lemons, Tyler Lemons, and Chad Lemons, Granddaughters: Nicole Brickner, and Brittany Adams, many great children and his Sister Danette "Mike" Marcus.
