Obituary

Allison Aleshire Marshall passed away on March 20, 2025, following complications during lung transplant surgery.

She was born in Marion, Alabama to Colonel Ben Fridge Marshall and Carolyn Aleshire Marshall. on December 17, 1951. She had a big brother, Jack, and sister Dana arrived in 1953. They lived in numerous places in the US as well as in Italy and Germany. They were a proud Army family.

Allison spent her entire professional career (30+ years) with ExxonMobil Corporation), where her willingness to learn new things and step outside her comfort zone were recognized and rewarded. For almost 20 years she was an integral part of ExxonMobil's Global Procurement Organization, where she developed an expertise in oilfield materials and equipment, and championed supplier diversity. She collaborated with co-workers and suppliers in the U.S., Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa, including an exciting and challenging 3-year assignment based in Luanda, Angola. Throughout her career, she was viewed as a trusted colleague and confidante, whether serving as a member of numerous leadership teams or as an official or unofficial mentor. ExxonMobil offered Allison opportunities for experiences and friendships around the globe, which she enthusiastically embraced and cherished.

Allison was a beloved long-time member and supporter of Impact Austin Foundation, an Austin based women's collective giving organization. She was a former board member and officer, former Chair of the People Committee, Grants Committee Chair and Advisor to Grants committees. She was a successful recruiter of new members, and host of many membership events as well as coffee and board meetings. Allison brought her many years of experience at ExxonMobil to her tireless volunteer activities including installing improved volunteer management procedures, job descriptions and communications of open roles.

Allison also volunteered her time to help elementary school children with reading and she read to seniors who could no longer read for themselves. She was aways willing help anyone who needed a helping hand.

She was a long-time parishioner at St. David's Episcopal Church in Austin, Texas. She was a committed vestry member and served as Junior Warden in 2024 and was elected to serve again in 2025. She was on the executive committee of the building committee that was responsible for restoring the historic church. Her corporate experience and her kind spirit made her an invaluable member of these groups.

She adored her nieces and nephews and supported them in many ways. She attended their soccer games, baseball games, gymnastics competitions, ballet performances, plays, vocal performances and many more activities. She was generous to a fault and was always giving gifts to friends and relatives. Her Christmas parties were legendary and the smiles never left her face as friends poured into her lovely homes.

Allison is loved and will be missed for years to come.

She is survived by her brother Jack and his wife Sue; son John, wife Julie and children Evan, Lily, and Owen; son Steve and his children Taylor and Jackson; and her sister Dana and her husband Ken Pardee; daughter Averi Mullins, husband Merret, and daughter Brianna and husband Kai.

A funeral service will take place at St. David's Episcopal Church, Austin, TX at 3:30 p.m. on April 9, 2025.
