Alfred "Butch" DeLeon Perez, age 81, of Hutto, passed away on May 17, 2022.
Alfred DeLeon Perez, Jr was born on November 23,1940 in Yorktown, Texas. Alfred (or Al), also known as, "Butch" left this Earthly world on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 to meet Our Heavenly Father and reunite with his parents, Alfredo January Perez and Josephine DeLeon Perez and sister, Blanche Perez. He will also meet his two grandchildren, Stephen Anthony Perez and Alexus Velasquez. Alfred married young and had six daughters, Norma Jane Perez, Irma Jean Perez, Rosalin Miller, Yolanda Reyna, Lisa Diane Alvarez, and Denise Janelle Castillo. He leaves behind two brothers, Alcario Perez and John Perez and six sisters, Vera Botello, Susan Redmon, Connie Kormblum-Gallarza, Carmen Perez, Helen Troyer, and Theresa (Terry) Perez.
Al graduated from the University of Houston and was a well-known/recognized Architect and Engineer. He was President of the Architectural Institute of America (AIA). His first assignment was to work on the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, then proceeded at the William Square (Las Colinas), University of Arlington (UTA) . Al restored the columns and stone to the John F. Kennedy Memorial (Dallas), he worked on the Thanksgiving Square Garden, and was ecstatic to be called to work at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, just to name a few. Al traveled all over the world (USA, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Mexico, Dominican Republic, England) and met many famous people. Al loved to joke and create skits/plays with his brothers and sisters. He was very focused and disciplined with his work, politics, and religion. For those who knew him, knew that he was a very devout Mariam follower. He loved Jesus and Mary. He prayed his Rosary every day and would not miss Sunday Mass.
Al leaves behind eleven grandchildren: Robin John, John Alfred, Bryan Edward, Kathryn Suzanne, Felix Aaron, Brittany Tate, Jennifer Ann, Emily Michelle, Chelsea Marie, Jordan Bailey, and Rubi Belle, and eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand child.

The Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church in Andice, Texas. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Rosary.
Al will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery following the services.
