Obituary

Aaron Wesly Juett, 88, of Edinburg, Texas went home to be with Jesus, his Lord & Savior on September 10, 2017. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born December 13,1928 in Giltner, Nebraska to Burt and Pearl Juett.

He grew up on a farm in Nebraska and graduated from Gilter High School in 1946. At the age of 13, he gave his heart to the Lord & felt a call to missions. He met his future wife, Imageyne, while attending Grace College of the Bible in Omaha, NE and graduated in 1950. Over 50 years later he received his masters in Theology. He & Imageyne married August 20, 1950 and together they began a life of service as missionaries. They spent 3 years in Tahlequah, OK, then served in Panama SA from 1955-1965. While in Panama, he learned to be fluent in Spanish, built churches, held summer camps, and helped start a Bible school. In 1967, he moved the family to the Rio Grande Valley where he & his wife joined & served at the Rio Grande Bible Institute in Edinburg. He also preached at Split Rail Trailer Park & J-5 Park for 25 years. During his years at RGBI, he served as registrar and Bible teacher. In 2015, the girl's dormitory at RGBI campus was named The Aaron & Imageyne Juett Building. He taught up to this past May of 2017 and was recognized this summer for 50 years of service at RGBI… His passion was his family, teaching, counseling & mentoring students, missions, and sharing the Gospel with everyone he came in contact with. He truly lived by the scripture, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone that believes" Romans 1:16. His students called him abuelito, his grandkids & great grandkids called him grandpa or bapop, and he was daddy to his kids. He loved sharing his experiences and wisdom with his grandkids. Rarely seen without his Bible, he was known for his compassion, humility, wit, and Godly character. If you had a conversation with him long enough, you heard a joke.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Imageyne and daughter, Lois Elaine Johns. He is survived by his son, Ron Juett (Kelly) of Victoria, TX, daughter Doris Seawell Vanleeuwen (Adrian) of Canyon Lake, daughter Rachel Smith (Bart) of Georgetown, TX., grandchildren Sonya Johns, Tina Metzger (Jason), Trisa Seawell, Landon Smith (Heather), Justin Juett (Tiffany), Ashlynn Kelso (Clay), Kyle Juett, Grayson Smith (Kristina), & Branson Smith; Greatgrandchildren, Kolby, Emily, Cameren, Kennedy, Kadence, Dylan, Cannon, Kendra, Kai, Chloe & Sawyer.
